Prior to founding CPRAS, Richard designed and built the industry leading Universal Pricing Model which is still used to determine processing costs for over a third of UK card payments.
Since then, Richard has led the development of the Merchant Services Optimiser, which is the first complete cost comparison tool for the card processing industry.
Richard also led the design of the Payment Services Framework resulting in CPRAS winning the contract to manage PSF by beating much larger consultancies including PwC.
Richard has a deep understanding of the payments industry and is just as comfortable advising banks on the minutiae of payments legislation as he is advising the head of the Government Banking Service on their strategic approach to payment security and cost efficiency.
Richard is a member of the Government Blockchain Association and the British Blockchain & Frontier Technology Association.
